Mount, balance, torque, done
Tire installation sounds simple, and it should be, but the details matter. The old tire comes off the rim on a tire changer, the bead and rim are cleaned, and the new tire is mounted with a fresh valve stem. The wheel then goes on a balancer, and small weights are clipped or stuck on to cancel out any vibration once you’re back on the road. Lug nuts are torqued to the exact spec your manufacturer calls for, in the correct star pattern, so the wheel seats evenly and stays that way. On vehicles with tire pressure monitoring sensors, we check that each sensor is reading correctly and run the relearn procedure so your dashboard warning light clears instead of nagging you for the next thousand kilometres. None of this requires us to sell you a tire. You supply the tires, whether they’re new, used, or a seasonal set coming out of storage, and we handle the labour end to end.
